GBS was retained to project and construction manage a new building for the client’s business of processing live seafood for distribution locally and abroad. During the building design phase, GBS learned about the workflow of the live seafood processing business and selected the architect & engineering team to complete the building’s design. As the building’s form and function evolved, GBS retained a third party quantity surveyor to prepare a construction budget for the client’s approval.

 

In addition to managing the design process, pre-construction services included development & building permit application process, environmental due diligence and sub trade selection/negotiation. This specialty owner/user building was completed on time and on budget, with the client declaring that the entire process and performance of the building exceeded his expectation.
