Two years after arriving in Vancouver ready to attend UBC, I found myself enrolled in the entry level trades program at BCIT instead. I completed an apprenticeship and became a journeyman joiner working primarily in high-end custom residential millwork. Thirteen years passed; I made the decision to expand my work in construction and in 2007 began my career at GBS Construction Managers Inc. Since starting with GBS I have worked as a site supervisor managing a variety of projects before moving on to working in the office on the project management team and leading the PMA team. I believe that attention to detail and understanding the needs of the entire team are essential to a successful project.
I have been active for the last three years with Canadian Construction Women and currently serve as Director of Community for the organization. Outside of work I am an active sailor, a dedicated gardener and baker of a very amazing loaf of bread.
